La Trobe University Online MBA Course Structure
The La Trobe MBA comprises of:
- 12 subjects (eight core and four elective) each worth 15 credit points (180 credit point total).
- Additionally, there are two core professional experiences: E-Portfolio (24 hour time requirement) and Boardroom Simulation (24 hour time requirement). You must complete the two core professional experiences to fulfil the degree requirements. However, they are not credit-bearing, nor fee-bearing.

Our MBA draws on a range of industry partnerships, placing a strong emphasis on enterprise learning. You’ll study with like-minded professionals who have at least three years’ management experience. The program is a highly flexible course that offers full-time and part-time options, block mode intensives and evening, or online classes. The program is delivered at the following locations; City Campus, Bendigo, Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Shepparton, Mildura and Chisholm-Dandenong.
You’ll cover emerging issues such as digitisation, globalisation and responsible leadership. Our MBA allows you to develop skills in a range of business disciplines such as; business analytics, digital marketing, project management, sports management, entrepreneurship and finance. Subjects apply theory to practice via interactive workshops and industry presentations and cultivate critical thinking with real-world case studies.
Accreditation
The Master of Business Administration has EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
Entry Requirements
Academic level:
Australian Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
Required grade average:
A weighted average mean (WAM) of 60% or above at third year level.
Work experience (Compulsory):
Three years relevant managerial experience.
Alternate entry:
Applicants with more than eight years relevant managerial experience but without an undergraduate degree may be considered for professional entry.
