AMBA-Accredited Flinders University Joins Top 2% Of World’s Business Schools
Flinders University’s business arm has joined the ranks of elite MBA providers after receiving accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
Considered one of the leading authorities on postgraduate business education, AMBA accredits the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Management (MBM), and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) courses in only the top 2% of the world’s Business Schools.
AMBA believes accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in postgraduate management education. As such, the accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation and challenges Business Schools to continuously perform at the highest level.
Flinders University was the first South Australian university, and only the third in Australia, to receive the AMBA accreditation.
Professor Phyllis Tharenou, Vice-President and Executive Dean of Flinders University’s College of Business Government and Law, said the AMBA accreditation will provide prospective students, employers and businesses with confidence of the credentials afforded by the Flinders MBA.
“The Flinders MBA applies cutting edge technology and offers one of the most flexible MBA programs in the country, delivered via online, blended, intensive and face-to-face options.
“We’re true to our word when we say this high standard, industry-driven program is ‘an MBA that’s made for you’,” Professor Tharenou said.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA students and recent alumni of Flinders Business were invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 33,000 students and alumni in more than 75 countries, for networking, thought leadership, career development and a variety of perks and benefits.
“With its accreditation Flinders Business joins the world’s leading Business Schools,” AMBA Chief Executive Andrew Main Wilson said.
“We value working closely with them and AMBA’s MBA members to ensure outstanding postgraduate management education continues to be the top priority for employers, governments and ambitious executives who will become the global business leaders of the future.”
Flinders University was founded in 1966 and Flinders Business School (FBS) was established in 2007 through a merger of the School of Commerce and the School of Economics.
